Fish was day old wait staff would not wait on us or come back had to look for someone else to get refills or even the bill

I ate a Rib Eye (with sides) for about 18 bucks. I agree is no cheap (typic price anyway) but the meat was tender, juicy and tasty. Good service. It was a good exerience overall.

Atmosphere bland, service, ok, food was very bland no flavor at all. I ordered chicken and brocolli alfreado no flavored what so ever. I asked for a small container of garlic, was offered garlic powder, I said no fresh garlic. Waitress replied we done have that at resturant! Who doesn't have fresh garlic!! Not a fan at all. 4 of us went to eat. My dish was no flavor at all, another person ordered steak and mushrooms, mushrooms were like chips and steak was over done, another friend ordered steak said was good, last person in group said food was ok, she likes no flavor. Lol

Great place! They've got a daily deal that's fairly priced and awesome and leaves you totally satisfied.

Kaylin was an amazing server who put up with our kinda grouchy group. The food was tasty and the service was great.

I have never been disappointed in a meal here. The steaks are great and they have always taken care with my allergies.

This was a nice country style establishment. I ordered the ribeye and though I am not a steak fanatic the steak tasted delicious! I had way to much food to even finish the fries. I recommended it to my coworkers and they had the same experience....I will definitely visit this restaurant again. I would recommend going on slower days. When the larger group of people went they complained that they were slow receiving their meals.

Great food, great atmosphere

Ordered the 14 oz ribeye med rare. It was thin and a bit over cooked on the outside. Seemed a bit overpriced for what I got. Service was good though.

Worse place I have been in years, I have never so hungry I would go back there

The atmosphere is so very welcoming. A small, but very nice lounge with excellent selection and prices. The menu is absolutely perfect. Steaks, seafood, soups, salads. I've visited almost everything on this menu after many multiple visits and I can't say enough about this establishment. Clean, quality, flavorful. Friendly staff will greet you t the door.

Great service, spacious private booths for four, and excellent salads, steaks and fish, cooked as ordered. A very pleasant 2&1/2 hour dinner and visit with old friends in a steakhouse a bit off the main drag, with a nice atmosphere. Thank you Sparta steakhouse people!

First time there 8/9/19 ordered the Cod with baked potato. Potato was over baked-burnt on the inside skin was baked to a crisp. I ordered broiled Cod but I'm sure it was poached. Will never return. The place was not busy but l swear they had to go catch the fish. Took way to long.

First and foremost, the drinks were terrible. They were burnt and made with super cheap liquor. The steaks were way over priced for the cut and quality of the steak. Not the quality I expect out of a $20.00 steak. Would not recommend.

It was absolutely outstanding! The ribeye was cooked perfectly, I could taste the freshness of the perch, and the sweet tea was actually brewed! Not instant! I will definitely be coming back the next time I come through!!

Service is slow, place was hopping but only 2 waitresses taking their time waiting on customers. waited for over an hour for our steaks which we ordered medium but you would have sworn that they were just brought in from the pasture and warmed up they were so rare (if I could post a pic of them i would)but we were afraid to send them back because it had already been over an hour.

Closes at 9 - as I suspect many places in Sparta do. That's ok. The food was tasty, but didn't match the prices. But I'm eating it right now for leftovers. I guess that's an endorsement if you ever heard one. All told, the one thing I'd do differently is to encourage them to use spices. Salt/pepper on the steak, old bay on the scallops - doesn't have to get real fancy. What I did get back was cooked pretty much exactly what I was looking for, except not much pizzazz. I left here not thinking, but rather knowing, that I definitely cook better at home. However it wasn't like they missed by much. Spices - just use spices!

I wouldn't recommend this place. I ordered filet mignon well done. My steak was burnt. The chef cooked another steak for me and it was medium. The vegtable beef soup tasted horrible. This establishment doesn't accept American express cards. The decor was missed matched items and didn't make sense on how they fit together. Cell died before steak arrived.

One out of two drinks were good. The atmosphere was charming. It has the makings for a nice place. Went on a Saturday at 6:30. They were not overly busy. Sat at the bar for an expensive drink, asked for a table. They did not have one ready. Sat at the bar for an additional 10 minutes. We were the only ones at the bar. They forgot about us. Asked for a table again. Followed the waitress and she quickly set the table. We planned to order the special for around $20+. Waited another 8 minutes the waitress did not come back. We left. For the prices, there has to be exceptional service.

Great place just always cold dining area

There steaks are the best I have ever had and at 67, I have had a few in my life. Learned they are home grown, custom aged and never frozen. Sure makes a difference. The prices are very good especially for the quality, nice laid back atmosphere, great staff and drink prices good with a nice asst of cocktails if you are so inclined

My wife's steak was very good, I have dentures and I was able to chew it, very good. I had the seafood plate cod was lightly battered and very good, I asked if I could have coconut shrimp in place of regular fried, let's say the taste was amazing. The scallops were pan fried in butter, was good. Overall, we will return.

Nice service but really sub par food. The cheese curds are not fresh. The filet mignon was not the correct meat cut and a limited beer selection.

I would not recommend this restaurant for a steak dinner. Food is lackluster, soup is not homemade, vegetable medley tastes like it came from a bag and steamed in the microwave, decor is mismatched, and atmosphere is uninviting. The music that was playing while we ate was “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”... weird. Waitress was very matter-of-fact, not talkative or friendly which made us feel uncomfortable. Date night would have been better spent elsewhere.

A group of 20 went in with a reservation and had an amazing meal. I ordered my steak rare and it was cooked to perfection! Delicious and I would highly recommend it.

My fiance and I stopped in here for a quick drink on our date night. They have very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend going here.

Love the homemade French onion soup! Our wait staff was amazing!

The meal was amazing and perfectly cooked! However, I ordered cheesecake for dessert and it was clearly taken straight from the freezer and microwaved to thaw it out. It was still frozen it spots and literally hot and runny in other areas. Disgusting! Do NOT order desserts here and you'll be fine!
